Live on the WCRD VGR DJ Sets invited guest DJ Mark Perretta back for a second visit to take our listeners on a bizarre sound journey. Mark returned with a stacked box full of bizarre early electronic, soundtracks and rare spoken records! The VGR and Mark worked at the speed of hummingbirds to continue pushing and pulling the mix into hypnotic soundscapes - at times meditative and other times giving you the feeling of drowning under the dense layers. At a little over an hour this mix raises the bar from Mark's first visit for a world of aural enjoyment. The live on the air WCRD hour long block is every Wednesday night at 8:30; for better or for worst it is live DJ mixing on the air, no edits.
This mix includes cuts from the following artists: Juana Molina, Les Maledictus Sound, Dif Juz, Throwing Snow, Ghost Culture, Matana Roberts, Silver Mt. Zion, Johnny Jewel, Gas, Rabit, Tigran Hamasyan, Nils Frahm, Visible Cloaks, Bonobo, Pet Shop Boys, Willie Nelson, Thee Oh Sees, Passengers (Ito Akashi), Shuggie Otis, Clint Breeze, Gonjasufi, Augustus Pablo, Sonic Boom Percussion, Orchestra Of the House of Culture of Bucharest conducted by Ionel Budisteanu, Balinese Shadow Play Music by Gender Wayang Group, Big Black, The Microphones, Nana Mouskouri, Sounds Of a Tropical Rainforest, Tibetan Mystic Song, Tin Drum Soundtrack by Maurice Jarre, Hollywood Charm Course, Stop Smoking, Sorcerer Soundtrack by Tangerine Dream, Drag Race Sound Effects, Capt.
